We handle a huge volume of email every month. Please use a subject line that clearly describes your message. For instance, if you are submitting an article, don't label your email or attachment 'article for the BLV'; please use relevant keywords to label your email and file.

Similarly, please would advertisers always include their company name in both the email subject line and in all artwork and copy files. We cannot always tell from your email address who you are; clear labelling makes it much easier for us to keep track of the thousands of ad-related files we receive each year.

Please begin all email subject lines with the prefix 'BLV', otherwise your message may be zapped by our junk filters.

When sending attachments by email, please ensure that your file size does not exceed 4.5 Mb. For larger files, we recommend that you use a file transfer service, such as www.yousendit.com.

Finally, please remember that we are a voluntary organisation. A handful of individuals, all of whom are unpaid, produce the BLV in our spare time. Please carefully check all submissions, be they articles or advertisements, for errors and correct them before you send them to us. Many thanks.
